Switch to Bank of Melbourne
1. Identify your regular payments
- Check your account statements and/or internet banking from your previous financial institution (or you can ask your previous financial institution for a list of your regular payments)
or
- Connect to your existing bank and import your payees and BPAY® billers into Bank of Melbourne Internet Banking and email yourself a list of regular direct debits1 made over the last 90 days on bank accounts held with selected financial institutions2.

- Complete a Request for Regular Payment List form so we can get a list from your previous bank and post it out to you. This list will show payments to and from your old account for the past 13 months.
This takes approximately two weeks from the time you submit the form to us depending on your previous bank.
Unfortunately this does not include regular BPAY® 'Pay anyone', payments linked to your transaction account and any direct debits or credits linked to your debit or credit cards or Regular (periodical) payments. It only includes direct debits and credits.
You will need to find these other payments yourself by checking your account statements and/or internet banking from your previous financial institution.
2. Switch your payments
Once you get your list of regular payments, please make sure they are correct and up to date.
- Logon to Bank of Melbourne Internet Banking and set your regular payment from the scheduled payments section
or
- Complete a Notice of Variation of Account Details form so we can redirect regular payments from your old account to your new Bank of Melbourne account

3. Notify your employer of new account details
- Use our pre-written emails to notify your employer's pay roll that your bank account details have changed. Logon to Bank of Melbourne Internet Banking and select Email details to employer from your dashboard or Get active on your account from the Services section.

- Simply contact your boss or payroll team directly
or
- Complete a Notice of Variation of Account Details form
Things to consider
Follow up to ensure your regular payments have been set up correctly by checking your transaction history on Bank of Melbourne online banking for your new account.
Consider leaving some money in your old account until all regular payments have been successfully switched.
Make sure you have enough money in your new account for your regular payments.
Contact the service provider if you think there might be a problem with your payment.
Close your old account once all your regular payments have been switched to avoid being charged account keeping fees if it's left open.
