How do I access online card services?
Download the Bank of Melbourne Mobile Banking App or register for Internet Banking if you’d prefer to use a desktop.
Top self-serve options
When you receive your new debit or credit card, before you can use it, you’ll need to activate it. You can do this instantly online.
You can set or change a new card PIN securely online with our Secure Code service, which sends a unique code to your phone.
If you’ve lost or had your card stolen, you can temporarily lock it1 until you find it, or if you can’t, report it lost or stolen.
We'll send a new card when yours is about to expire, but should you damage it before then, you can ask for a replacement.
Lost, stolen, or misplaced cards
Lost, stolen, or misplaced cards can be locked for up to 15 days or permanently cancelled.
Lock your card temporarily
Quickly put a temporary lock1 on your lost card for up to 15 days using Internet or Mobile Banking to ensure your account is safe. The card will also be locked in any digital wallet. If your card should turn up, you can just as easily unlock it.
Report your card lost or stolen
If you've lost your card for good, report it lost or stolen to immediately stop all transactions on your account and request a new card to be reissued. Your replacement card details will be automatically updated in any digital wallet, meaning you can continue to make transactions without activating your replacement card.

1. Card Lock: Will temporarily stop all future card transactions on a Visa debit or personal credit card for up to 15 days unless you reactivate or cancel your card earlier. This means all scheduled or recurring payments using your card details will be stopped, but any direct debits on a linked bank account will continue as usual.
2. Fraud Money Back Guarantee: Our Bank of Melbourne Fraud Money Back Guarantee ensures that customers will be reimbursed for any unauthorised transactions provided that the customer has not contributed to the loss and contacted Bank of Melbourne promptly.
